Vision:
Our vision for the Corridor Birth Alliance is to be the leading resource for women and families in the Corridor area (Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and surrounding areas), for all things pregnancy and birth related.
There are many providers in the Corridor who want to help women and families. There are many women and families who desire help but simply do not know where to find it. We hope to become a central forum for these providers and families to connect.
To achieve this, we will host events throughout the year to educate the community on a variety of birth topics. The topics at these events will be guided by the feedback received at previous events, and by the desire of local providers to speak on their topics of interest.
We will connect providers and community members via this website. We will also host regular gatherings of professionals to allow women to informally meet a variety of providers at one time. We envision Corridor Birth Alliance will allow like-minded providers a convenient way to network and be able to refer to other providers outside of their scope of practice. For those providers who need assistance arranging back-up service or childcare, we will provide a network for them to easily do so.
We believe every woman deserves care that is empowering, supportive, and tailored to her specific desires. Therefore, the Corridor Birth Alliance is committed to helping every woman learn what options are available to her in the area. We will promote choice and trust.
